Street trees are important but need to be respectfully sited

Robert J. Gibbs, FASLA, AICP, and one of the original CNU Charter signees, recently contributed an ASLA article on the value of street trees and their placement in downtown shopping districts. The article, based on years of professional experience and observation, is worth the read if you are interested in the better design of streetspaces and mixed-use urbanism.
